There is no place like JAMAICA

I spent the 4th of July holiday weekend in Kingston, Jamaica. Despite all the recent negative images floating around the web and in the media about Jamaica, I still think it’s one of the best places in the world. The thought of me heading back to the states and leaving Jamaica always have me feeling down. For some reason when I’m in Jamaica I forget about problems I may have back home. The states offer us a lot of conveniences but at the same time I feel we neglect certain core values that many of us in the islands grew up with. Values such as spending time with family and friends. We are so caught up in the states with making it that we forget these important values at times. I’m sure many of us in the states don’t really know our neighbors and its not that we wouldn’t want to but we don’t have the time. There is no place like the island of Jamaica and it’s people and that’s where my next project will take you so be on the look out for it.

Where we love is home.
Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.

  1. I’m happy someone has recognised that despite of all the fuss we(jamaicans) still remain one nation, one Love.
